Thorough scan ...

The DOS version performs the quick scan, and when done, asks if you want to continue with the thorough check, as well as giving you an estimate of the time it will take.

You could check for command line options by using

SCANDISK /?

Cheers, PW.

That is one of the questions I was going to ask. In Windows Me I don't think you can boot into Dos using the F8. It is accessed Start/Programs/Accessories/MSDos Prompt but as I typed that I thought of using a boot disk. Maybe that would work?

You people are fantastic and faster than my towns fire department. I knew how helpful you were because I have read every post and have been amazed at the knowledge that resides here. Thank you all!
