<But it's a strange thing, when I type I really don't even think about it.>

Yes, weird isn't it. Sometimes, when I'm walking, I don't even look at my feet to ensure I put the correct one out next and I even talk without thinking about where I'm putting my tongue. I'm going to try chewing gum and walking a straight line next. Then, walking a talking. After that, driving and talking.

Then, I'll be ready for all singing and dancing 3G voice-to-text full-blown Internet access while totally mobile, whether driving or walking. People walking around talking to themselves will be a common sight [until they get those inductively-coupled nerve sensors for speech output].

<BTW, I get the impression that Australia is a little like the US in the sense that the middle ages didn't happen there and they don't have that old-world baggage to carry. Am I right about that at all? >

Generally that's true. [I only can speak for New Zealand really, but am happy to speak for the Australia, USA, Canada and anywhere else]. But, Hey! we have, like, a large amount of new-world baggage to carry. We are currently re-entering the dark ages in New Zealand, with mysticism, superstition and no objective reality as our guiding lights. But, Hey! that's okay, George Dubya is into superstition - praying flat out...hoping for some supernatural help. As are AlGorithm and Bill Clinton [Bill used to pray that there would be some hot ladies in the Oval office ... so he could spiritually uplift them]. Call me a cynic. Call them hypocrites.

I suspected it - I type with the touch and quickly (savior-to only make learned at the secondary school it seems to to me) and believe me, I were estropié when I went to work in France! That went with the systems UNIX, I remappais the keyboard... but most of the time I suffered.

How did it do?
