Hi Jack, Here's the way to proceed with editing that History file.....

The file is a "comma delimited" type. Locate the ?.hst file that is for this particular investment. It should be located in your NewportW files.

the file structure is as follows:
History Files
DATE, PRICE/SHARE, # OF SHARES, BUY/SELL ADJUST MARK, SPLITS/DISTRIBUTIONS/ADJUSTMENTS MARK, STOCKS VALUE, CASH VALUE

Copy the number that's shown in the "SPLITS/DISTRIBUTIONS/ADJUSTMENTS MARK" position down on a piece of paper for the week where the current long vertical line shows. You want to remove that number and replace it with a 0.

Next, go to the week where the split occurs. Enter the number recorded earlier in the "SPLITS/DISTRIBUTIONS/ADJUSTMENTS MARK" location for the proper week of the split.

Save this file.

Please remember that these are comma delimited files and any extra spaces, carriage returns or other misc. key strokes are going to give the file a "stroke!" so only change that which needs changing.

Now, when you open up this investment in Newport, you should be able to see the vertical line right where the stock split occurred.

Please let me know if this all works okay.

Best regards, Tom
