>>>If this inventory correction turns into a recession because of continuos retrenchment of the consumer, <<< It's funny -- all this talk of recession, yet when I go shopping (even on a rainy day in Calif.), the parking lots are full and so are the stores. I was in a Target store yesterday (a rainy day), and they were very busy. (It might be of interest to note that the stores here are now only "half lit". Every other light is off, so it's sort of like shopping in a "Twilight Zone". This is to save electricity, of course, since we're down to our last KW. It's amazing that all of a sudden one day, someone announced a power crisis. No one was saying anything 8-9 mos. ago. Now we don't know when the lights are going to go out.)

Sorry to rant on here. Have to sign off -- it's peak power time.
