Randy Reifel reports Francisco Gold has provided the results from the recent diamond drilling program on its wholly owned Marling gold-silver property located in western Guatemala. Ten step-out drill holes totalling 993 metres tested a portion of the souther and western extensions of the Main zone. The latest drill grid covered an area approximately 150 metres by 150 metres in size. All 10 holes cut significant gold-silver mineralization. Drill core was sampled at 1.5-metre intervals and assayed by ALS Chemex Labs in Vancouver, B.C. Check assays are being conducted by Bondar Clegg. The drill results area summarized below. Holes No. 16, No. 17, NO. 22 and No. 23 indicated that the Main zone's shallow-dipping, mineralized body is slightly down faulted and continuous for over 150 metres south acros an east-west trending normal fault. Holes No. 15, No. 18 and No. 20 successfully tested a geophysical anomaly extending west from the Main zone. This anomaly extends for at least 300 metres further west. Hole No. 24 has confirmed that the east-west feeder fault system, which appears to control the Main zone's high-grade mineralization, continues nearly 200 metres southwest of the previously drilled area. Based on results from the 25 drill holes, trench and surface samples, the Main zone's near-surface, mineralized horizon now exceeds 450 metres in length and 175 metres in width. The Main zone remains open to the west, south and east. Francisco has resumed an extensive program of mapping, trenching and surface sampling outside Marlin's Main zone. A systematic stream sediment sampling program is under way within a 30-square-kilometre area around Marlin where intense argillic argillic alteration is present. Apart from the adjacent Don Tello and Los Cochis zones, two additional peripheral targets, La Hamaca and Ajel, have recently been discovered. Both targets host similar structural and alteration characteristics as Marlin. La Hamaca and Ajel are located two kilometres north and three kilometres west, respectively, of the Main zone. Drilling is expected to resume in four to five weeks to further expand Marlin's Main zone and to also test the Don Pancho -- Don Tello zone located 200 metres further south of the recent drill grid. This structural corridor has been traced for 900 metres along strike and is 10 to 50 metres wide. The average grade of 111 rock chip samples collected across this zone is 3.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 183 g/t silver. Mechanized trenching over this structural trend is scheduled to begin within two weeks.
