I remember coming home from kindergarten and seeing my mother very upset and the TV blaring with Walter Cronkite. Later at the funeral telecast (just to show my religious chutzpah back then at 5 years of age), I remember the kids dressed in white for the "joy" of their dad going to heaven. This struck me as odd then. I didn't think I would be "joyful" if my daddy was dead and was on his way to heaven. Funny things we remember, huh?
