I just checked with my older son - he says no condoms in class, nobody says "screw you" to the teachers, they weren't instructed on how to masturbate or engage in sexual intercourse. There is one girl with pink hair, some odd piercings, and some kids who dress sort of Goth.

I think my tolerance level for personal behavior is much lower that yours - I used to be a hippie when I was a teenager and young adult. But with respect to ethics, I think this should be taught at home.

I went to both public school and Catholic school, and graduated from a private university. I think the thing that made the most difference was selectivity - the kids in advanced and honors courses behave better.
