I know, I've seen all those releases, but, if you go to the Sun/Cobalt site, it looks very much like the only new product uses PIIIs. The others use "Intel compatible processor at 300 or 450 MHz." In the articles people keep bringing in, the authors are confusing the fact that Cobalt is new to Sun, they introduced a new product, and they use both Intel and AMD IN THE AGGREGATE OF OLD AND NEW PRODUCTS.

Would Cobalt really be stupid enough to release a 300 or a 450 MHz processor in a new product right now? They're going up against 1 GHz processor servers in the same price ball park. Well, maybe they would be.
