As far as I know, Slovakia is the only country where the name is spelled this way, so he may be a countryman.

looks like he plays with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.

If you go to Austria, half the name sound Czech or Slovak, and big portion of names in Czechoslovakia sound German, which I guess is the legacy of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Oh yes, add some Hungarian names to the mix.
