OK, Mr. Microamnesia, here's my vote: Only that which we cannot do for ourselves. Maintaining the national interstate highway system. Maintaining our air traffic control system, but be open to the possibility of privatization. Disaster aid to help people get back on their feet after acts of God. The Coast Guard no explanation needed -- I know what these guys do. A marine base in Georgia, provided one is shown to be necessary. A marine base in California, provided one is shown to be necessary. Troops in South Korea until the North starts acting like an adult. Star wars as long as there is a credible threat.
