At least MSFT got the hardware right. The word "solution" usually denotes the soup-to-nuts application based on hardware, net architecture and software etc.

This is still a major embarassment to their brand in the hardball high-stakes business space. I am not saying anyone should short MSFT.

Bzzzt. Hotmail, by edict, was transitioned to the same
dogfood they run at microsoft.com, rudedog. They announced
it quite loudly.

You Spintel fellows have really chosen a bad set of
incidents to attempt misdirection on. MS, has been
unusually forthcoming about these recent outages, and have
as much as admitted these problems are related to their
architecture.

No wonder why Hotmail sucks and it seems like the site is crashed at least once a day. I figured it would be Microsoft's rock solid enterprise software that was doing them in. You learn something new everyday.....
