I think we're talking about two different things.
Microsoft's 'problem' references Weds gaffe where the 'all
dogfood' (MS) sites went DNS dark. Indeed that *excluded
Hotmail. It is my understanding from several sources
that the problem is directly (read: directly) the fault of
MS DNS software architecture.

You're denying what Microsoft didn't.
