Hi Eric:

On a somewhat similar note, I was talking to a coworker this week, recollecting the Long Term Capital fiasco of a couple of years ago.

I recall how it was said back then that we narrowly escaped colossal damage from that event. I find the fact that such "institutions" are aloud to exist and play the markets analogous to a world where drunk drivers are given the keys to vehicles with cars with no brakes, and are then given prepaid Exxon gas cards. It's a crying shame that our financial well-being can be put in such a precarious position just because some huge hedge fund screws up trying to pick up a "free" 64th of a point that exists for only a split second.

Now, to step down from my soapbox for a minute, I have no trouble with a moderate amount of margin. It's just that margin-ability needs to be kept in check, as I'm sure the bulls and the bears here will readily agree.

Regards,
