If that's the case, then I'll admit I'm wrong about the wealth of the counties. There is, however, no question that (for whatever reason) the ballot failure rate for the Democratic counties was 3 times as high as those of the Republican counties. That's not to blame anyone, particularly--I'm sure that Democratic officials okayed them--just that it's a tragedy that we don't have standardized, accurate voting systems in this country. If George W. truly was the winner of the election, it's not fair for him to have this cloud over him, and if he wasn't, then that's not fair, either.

I live in Central Illinois and we use the votomatic. Never had any problems with it. I have trouble believing anyone would have trouble using it. I mean stick a stylus in a hole??
