You are lucky you haven't needed it.

Upon further reflection, I'm not totally oblivious. I saw a TV show a long time ago about how muggers select their victims from the way they walk. I recall at the time assessing that I don't walk like a victim. I take long, confident, purposeful steps. Well, as long a step as a height-impair person can. And I'm able to daydream and be aware of my surroundings concurrently. Kind of like chewing my cud.

I had a colleague who was into body language and very dependent upon my good graces and my work product. She would regularly offer some message that my body language was sending and she was almost invariably wrong.

What does one do to mitigate or compensate for being oblivious to body language like your son? Are there things that can be taught?
