ah, thanks for the clarification. So modifying the noun "whipsaw" with the adjective "quickly" is not what you meant to say, if you were referring to "the events leading up to the (whipsaw)".

But you are correct. A whipsaw doesn't have to be quick, although that's how I think of them behaving. Perhaps because I'm usually in tech stocks.
