there's one very large hole in your argument. the fed can lower s-t interest rates, but they cannot control L-T. hence the fed lowered 1/2 pt on the 3rd only to see the long end of the curve sell off. as the dollar comes under pressure, rates will rise and eventually the fed will have to RAISE int rates to halt this or continue to blatantly inflate...
