Chimney, I am not a lawyer. Perhaps the remaining patents at issue do entail a serious downside. It would be nice to have a patent attorney take a close look at the situation. However, I do know that SST stock has appreciated very significantly during this period that the Atmel litigation has been a risk. Perhaps SSTI is just taking a breather now:

Why would you want to roll the dice on a single stock in the first place?

And if you did, why would you pick a shiny pebble instead of a gorilla?

Note: from what I've heard, the lawsuit involves a very small portion of ssti's revenue stream.
