To clarify my last post: The idea of changing the aspect of the Ego by reprogramming the self sounds easy enough, but in truth it is quite hard. That is why the best thing one can do is to find a "how" to dissipate the energy behind the emotions. The reason why it is quite hard is that you are not really reprogramming but "over-programming". The subtle energy behind the emotions stay in place and can empower the Ego at any given time your new thought process has a glitch. Let me explain by using the analogy of a cassette tape recorder. A blank tape has a balance of positive and negative charged ions. A recorded tape has ions arranged in a pattern that gives the tape a signal. When you go to record a new signal on the tape, it passes first in front of the erase head and then the record head. It not only records the new signal but also erases the prior signal. When we simply over-program ourselves, we leave in tact the original signal. That is why if you over-program you can have problems that "pop" up even after you have been successful in trading. Although it works, it is just a matter of time until something "pops" up. If you've been successful and never had problems, more power to you, but generally, the underlying signal shows up every now and then. This is also why "controlling" the Ego has mixed results as well. You are simply turning down the volume of the underlying signal and it still has its inherent energy remaining. So, to all of us, a toast to the goal of finding our "how" and establishing ourselves in the Beingness of Present Time, may we all strive for this!!!
