I hope you're right, and feel comforted by your cynical yet optimistic take on the agenda of the anti-abortion politicians. But look who's going to be Attorney General, and look at the Supreme Court... Who would have thought?

BTW, I see the opposition to RU486 as the same sort of stone around the neck of those arguing against choice as late abortions (as contraception; we talked about the case for some late term abortions yesterday) represent to the pro choice position. I think it's outrageous that they're trying to make it unavailable, but I do like to see them revealing themselves as the religious zealots they are, instead of posing as compassionate individuals concerned about the suffering of babies.
