Dear Scumbria:

Yes, you have a real problem accepting that the real responsibility for spending money resides in the Congress and especially in the House. That the correlation between $5 trillion in deficit spending and Democratic rule in the House is very high. And it all started when FDR ran his "New Deal" through it and the real waste in a giveaway program called Social Security. The Democrats failed to put it on sound footing to begin with and did not sell it as what it truly was, a ponzi scheme that got enough money to pay to seniors without the pain of asking for tax hikes.

So take responsibility and agree that the Congress has the ultimate authority for whether we have deficits or surpluses. And the long period of Democratic rule has produced these huge deficits you hate so much. So you should take your medicine and put your energies in more positive pursuits.
