market share, which is the only thing that counts. I would respectfully disagree that market share is the only thing that counts. Superior technology will sometimes overcome an early lead in market share. By integrating the technology from Alteon with the subscriber management technology, mobile access technology and Layer 3 switching, Nortel appears to have developed a much broader product which should appeal to more market segments. As always, time will tell.
