Don't you think perhaps this is an overstatement? I wondered if we would lose our rights to freedom of expression and freedom of the press. Message 15270082 If Bush does try anything along the lines you indicate the Supreme Court- -even a conservative one- -will shoot him down. And if THAT fails we will face disaster at the next elections.

Mephisto--Interesting news from Washington, Dubya attended the Senate Democrats retreat this afternoon, and is flying to Nemacolin Woodlands to attend the House Democrats retreat this weekend. I will say that these are brililant moves--while this guy may be one of the most inarticulate presidents we've ever had, he clearly has an understanding of what bugs the American people about politics--all of the bickering--and this frankly is the smartest move I've ever seen an incoming president ever make.... Now if he had JUST not put Ashcroft in the AG's spot....
