edit...
Actually the monetary issues are virtually nil.
It is perceived by the union that across the company bidding rights and such are being taken away and this would jeopardize their well being inthe event of a sector cutback within the company. Buzz Hargrove is, it would seem, making a stand here. So we have a political strike as opposed to a monetary strike. A dicey situation. No doubt Noranda is taking advantage of the low share price and perhaps is orchestrating this for that very reason??
In any event higher profits for FL shareholders are being usurped. I suspect that next Q 25mm may be the profits...as supplied by Coluhuasi and Raglan. That would arguably lead to annual profit in 2001 of 100,000,000 when perhaps 300,000,000 could have been experienced. Deep Onaping will require 500,000,000 of capital to be a go. All's not rosy for shareholders but...........Noranda will get the company for cheap. JMO
