I would just look at the reaction during the our invasion and conquest of Kosovo. The countries friendly to us swallowed it, the people on the edge (Russia) were pushed over the edge, but China had already counted us among their enemies. Joe, Who said China is our ally? I am saying that China is more in love with capitalism than ideology. And don't underestimate what the cost of that damn project is doing to a developing nation's budget and currency holdings. You mention Kosovo....all that were expressed were words. That means nothing to the Chinese. I certainly think we should be prepared to defend ourselves against an attack but it seems you would have us armed to the teeth. I am sick of US $$$ going into military toys. Why this ongoing need to be paranoid? Especially when the world has been the most peaceful in many decades or even centuries. ted
