I saw the special. It was good and long overdue. I think the tone wasn't as vigilant as it should have been. The SEC chariman Arhtur Levitt was particularly soft calling the analysts actions "less than moral". Chit man...they're CROOKS! I'm glad Levitt is leaving, useless.

chic,

Yes I watched it. Not bad. They came down pretty hard on Meeker and Blodget showing some of their more outrageous calls against some price graphs.

One disappointment. They had Mark Haines (CNBS) on and let him get away with saying he warned everyone about the mania. I would have liked to have seen the CNBS cheerleaders taken to task.

This morning Maria (gizzard lips) complemented Mark on his appearance just prior to launching into one of her cheerleading sessions -ng

Yeah, I couldn't believe my eyes! Of course, the guy from Quack Box was on, acting like he'd seen the whole thing coming, berating the silly individual investors for not knowing better. As if he's innocent. Looked to me like CNBS trying to take an early offensive against the ANALysts, to redirect criticism away from themselves.

I'm surprised the whole thing didn't appear on NBC.

They did at least blast Meeker and Blodget, complete with graphs showing when the fatal recommendations were issued. They also quoted that both of them pulled down over $15M last year despite their miserable performances.

So much for performance-based pay - unless you gauge their performance in terms of permitting their investment houses to unload their piles of Dung...
