Thanks. We should also not forget that the last UAW contract basically turned variable labor costs into fixed costs. We have the traditional domestic auto companies barely profitable in the so-called best of times faced with an ebbing market which will accelerate their loss of market share in the most lucrative segments now facing the obligation of paying redundant workers 95% for three years! GM shareholders should cheer their exit from that auto business. Heck, they should demand it.
