That was comforting!...so I guess in you view that makes it OK to lie(??)...I know of a bunch of NY'rs who have this nasty habit of telling the truth most of the time and are pretty bright to boot...sounds like the polar opposite of the man we currently elected King.

You guys are really champs at missing the point. I'm not surprised that Ashcroft is a liar (I'm also not surprised that Bill didn't want to tell the world about Monica). The big point then comes down to what kind of person Ashcroft is underneath all those lies and evasions. The answer is that he is a very bad man. He is extreme, judgemental, and obsessed with the idea that he and he alone knows God's plan for mankind. That's why he should not be in government, much less attorney general. It's not his lies.
