You may think that it's about winning or losing an election, but for many it isn't. It's about the credibility of the Court and the political system. This isn't a Superbowl with a bad referee call.

I really didn't much mind the outcome of the election; it was the written opinion from the Court that was the travesty.

ah, but he didn't win, and that's the problem. Even if only the "no president" cards were counted -- not recounted -- Gore would have won. The Republicans were willing to overide the popular vote anyway they had to -- but the Florida republican legislature, if necessary.

if this country had any balls and wasn't stupified on televion, they'd be rioting in the streets.
