We seem to be dominating the discussion, so I hope that's okay with the other thread participants, jump in if you want! So, on to your latest post. Yes I agree with most of it, but: >>"if you succeed in dissipating the undisciplined ego (or regular ego), you are also dissipating the need to trade as well"<< I don't think so.. I'm not talking about absolute spiritual freedom where one kills the Ego. That would be the end of trading for sure as you said prior. I'm talking about dissipating the energy behind the fears and greed thoughts. That's not the entire Ego. There are many people who have dissipated their "negative" energies of the emotions and live VERY successful lives in the capitalist society. That's how they do it, get rid of the negative and you have a very strong centered and balance Ego. There is a way, actually, there are many ways to dissipate the energies of the emotions which allow one to continue trading very successfully. To actually completely dissolve the Ego is another story, that is not our objective behind trading. In my earlier post I was trying to explain why these energies pop up. >>"We train our regular ego and change a part of it into a disciplined ego."<< >>"Another cycle, hopefully with even lesser intensity, from fear to greed, greed to fear, end of cycle... and so on until you reach the point where fear and greed are in balance... where the amount of fear is offset by the same amount of greed... suddenly, you just trade what you see, no longer what you think"<< What exactly do you think is happening to your undisciplined ego when you train it and go through these cycles with "less intensity". That's my point, dissipation = less intensity. I think you are dissipating with your method as well. If not let me know what you are doing. I, this is just a personal preference, don't like super over-programming. I'd much rather erase a little and then reprogramming. For me, it has allowed me to have a lot less "flair ups" in life from the previous energies and benefit from the new programming faster and more consistently. Again, just my personal preference, everyone has there "how" as we all have agreed before.>>"a never ending journey....Now, isn't trading FUN?"<< I have personally experienced in my life that the journey changes significantly and I'm not necessarily looking for the "end" of the journey, for I'm enjoying the journey. Our society today seems to let people think that they can get the End instantly. That's probably why everyone wants to Daytrade and make a million dollars in a day! HaHa!! The ole "Holy Grail". Well, I personally think the "holy grail" is actually not an external "object", but an internal aspect of the self. (But this is a whole other subject) The point being that we all have and it IS within you and nowhere else. Anyway, I think we agree on a lot of this and are trying to say the same thing. I leave you with best of intentions and true respect for what your saying. Cheers to you as well but make mine a Guinness!
