Thanks Santos. I liked the brief and concise explanation with the examples on pages 1&2.

I'm still trying to understand fig.3 and match with Bill's spreadsheet. Let's simply take his entries on 9/21/94 where the action taken is selling 150 shares. I do not get the same answer, or any of the entries on the spreadsheet for 9/21 using the suggested formula: (PC+$s)/N(1-S%).

Here is what I calculated: $7000-2380/1000(.90) = 5.13.
What is Pc/N (units in price?)

I'm missing the value in this exercise as I apparently don't understand something here. But again, I appreciated the succinctness of the first two pages.
