I see no suggestion that Yahoo's advertising model is in jeopardy. In fact, the demise of all the failed Internet companies is going to result in more money flowing back to Yahoo. All the funding for the Internet wannabes is over - AOL, YHOO, and MSN have won.

In terms of $35 fees for Yahoo Domains, they can convert a small percent of their base each year and make the growth for that business segment look staggering for the next five years. Also, they have monthly fees for email storage which will soon be converted to personal digital archives for CD's and DVD's. t won't be long until people are storing their whole CD collection on their yahoo storage account.

After they start saving their CD's and DVD's, they will start storing thier digital picture albulms. The digitalizaiton of multimedia will have profound effects for companies that provide Internet storage. In five years, people are going to be amazed at how much entertainment and multimedia they have accumulated.

Yahoo will no longer be a portal to the Internet but a portal to personal digital archiving.
