The inherent human need to be "right" is a powerful emotion that causes people to defend their position even in the face of mounting contrary evidence. That's what I attribute it to. I think we need a new category of financial journalism. Instead of "docu-drama" we could call it "fictive-finance." As long as readers know they're reading Wall Street's equivalent of the National Enquirer they know it's their responsibility to sort out fact from fiction. Trouble is, most don't know. TheStreet.com didn't originate the genre. George Gilder's made it an art form. Pat
