Although religious anti- semitism played a role in setting the stage for Nazi persecution of Jews, the ideological basis in Nazism itself was racist, not religious. That is why it didn't matter if one had converted, and, indeed, one need only have had one grandparent who was Jewish to be sent to an extermination camp.......
