It's spanish. It sounds like Puerto Rican spanish. And it is not very nice!!!!!

I can't post the translation in public, But trust me the guy is not asking you to come pick up your sesame shrimp!

See what happens when I'm posting at 3 in the morning? I'm not one of the folks one would *want* working more than 16 hours per day.

Let's try the link again so it's clickable: sibob.com

I told my wife I thought it was that guy from the Hitch-hiker's Guide books who traveled the whole universe to insult each and every person, personally and in alphabetical order. And that he must be near the end of the journey.

August, you're kidding, right? I don't speak Spanish, but I've heard lots of it and it doesn't seem to have the right kind of rhythm.

TheCow, your post begs two possible responses, both of which are best only *hinted* at publicly. The first being "And you would recognize this sound because...?" and the second being "No, no, no. Not even remotely."

I'm most inclined to think it's one of my son's friends, but if anyone does decipher it as a real language, and determines that it's vulgar, please PM me the translation.

I did not access the link, but assuming it is a male voice. Glad it wasn't female, would have hated for you to be even wonder if it was me venting my frustration!!! <ggg>

'Oye, tamál co-puerco [?] [...can't hear, could be nonsense..], chupa mi verga tú pica [pita?] puta madre chocha chinga madre' ... indistinct all through but very much so between 'oye' and 'chupa'

Oye - 'listen', familiar form [i.e. from tú as opposed to usted] so he feels he knows you [or whoever he thought he was calling]
tamál - sort of american polenta, cooked in plantain leaf
co-puerco - cochino is 'swine', puerco is 'pig' or 'pork' .. but this was indistinct
[...]
chupa - 'suck' in the imperative mood, familiar form again
mi - 'my'
verga - penis, not so obscene if it wasn't for the tone of voice
tú - 'you'
pica? - short for pícaro meaning 'rogue'? ... or could be pita from pitar, one sense of which can mean 'to referree'
puta madre - literally 'prostitute mother' but a generic curse really
chocha [if that's what this is] - 'vagina', obscene term for, Puerto Rico only
chinga madre - from 'chingar' which is not directly translatable but everyone knows ... 'mo'fo' would be close

Guy's an hispano, almost certainly a puertorriqueño, he's had a few drinks and he's irritated at whoever he thinks he's phoning ... only indication that person could be you is the possible 'referree' bit ... but i can't get the volume up high enough on that wav to hear it clearly, and i'm not up on all the latest groserías anyway ... there is no threat imho, sounds like venting
