Hey, Poet. I don't reckon melee's will ever cease to happen now and again. Especially on a Friday night after a long work week. And with people sneaking in the backdoor with a grin on their face but something else up their sleeve. JMO on what happened. I thought it was handled in a pretty timely fashion and people went to their corners. Unless it was something that transpired in private, I hope there are no suspensions.

Thanks for the article. I hadn't seen anything about that. I did see that the senate got 42 votes against confirming Ashcroft. Senate Dem leaders were hoping for a number that showed they could muster the votes for a filibuster, as a signal about SC nominees, and they got it. That is one positive out of an otherwise dismal occurance.

Read an article in our local rag about the emphasis on faith-based organizations, rather than charitable-organizations. Made me gag. I don't see how the intent is solely to encourage more private action and giving in areas of need when the emphasis is placed on faith-based organizations with such fanfare. The intent seems clear. Gagging again.
