Did you guys know that there was now a "premium" service for MP3.COM artists? As an artist, I was invited to join and pay (wow) $20.00 a month basically for a few perks and a bold for everyone of your song listings. The surprising thing is how many artists have accepted this offer.

Even if only 20% of the 100,000 artists sign up that would mean a steady revenue stream of $400,000 a month and could practically pay for the PFP payments they give artists currently. (I think they were 1 million a month divided among the artists and now it's been reduced to who knows what).

Looking to get in again... I also was suprised at the revenue growth. My gut feeling is that online advertising has been summarily dismissed and that is just plain hooey...

When the web is a TV channel, MP3.COM will have the whole world at its disposal over broadband TV.
