Thanks Santos. I will try to summarize in my rookie language what I think this exercise is all about and would appreciate a yes or no (I need more work)from you.

In Bill's spread sheet on 9/21/94 we have the following data points relative to the AIM mechanism:

$7000 portfolio Control
1000 number of shares
$500 min. trade for buy&sell
5% Buy SAFE %
10% Sell SAFE %

The following results are from your three formulas which provide a guide/range as to where AIM's next recommendation will be:

$8.33 sell point
$6.19 buy point
$7.00 mid point

Just a few more questions:

Is $7.00 suppose to be the mid point between the above sell and buy points? If so, my calculator says $7.26.
