Now it looks more interesting. Telson signed cdma2000 license(1x and 1xev or hdr) in Feb,2000. It's parent extended their license again last month to include wCDMA also.

Signs for THE 3G license coming?

WCDMA is not here and won't be here for a long time. No need for Nokia to sign up for WCDMA license at this time. It appears to have a 1x license so it can have Telson make 1x sets for it using Q ASICs.

Don't forget that Nokia has to have a WCDMA license in order to sell WCDMA handsets, regardless of who makes the phones.

I really like the idea of Nokia selling 1x phones.
