We are all racist- because we all generalize- it is part of our human intelligence- but it can work against us.

Generalizing isn't racism. Generalizing is an important analytical skill that has gotten a bad name. It's only prejudice/bigotry/racism when you make the assumption that every individual in the group has the characteristic that you generalized about the group and act on it.

You can't solve a problem without identifying characteristics of the participants that may contribute to the problem. It doesn't have to be an insult. It just is.
