Eyes see, body reacts." << This exercise is easy to do because there are no "punishment" for mistake. Without punishment, the mind is free of regular ego and the exercise becomes fun. Thus, eyes see and body reacts. Now, imagine all the balloons are wrapped around by naked electrical wires that intermittently generated a painful electrical shock when touched. All of a sudden, your regular ego come into play. Here are some of the example of internal dialogues..."OUCH!!!! Are you Nut or what!" "Not yet! Not yet! OK... YOWEEEEE! What's the matter with you! Didn't I say NOT YET!" "Hey, this is NOT FUN! I'm getting painful shocks" "Why did I let Threei talked me into playing this 'deleted' game? OUCHEEE again!" "Where is my intuition??? Ouch.... I thought I'm goin...Ouchee... to get my.... Yoweee... intuition any...Ouch..moment...." "Hey, you 'deleted', why are you so clumsy!" LOL! Pretty tough to get intuition if our mind is dominated by our regular ego reacting and responding to all the punishment that come our way. Unfortunately, in trading, losses are part of the business and cannot be avoided. If our regular ego is allowed to dominate, then these losses will generate plenty of internal dialogues that pretty much shut out any intuition that may come our way. >>"When you stabilize situation and keep them under control, you are in the zone." << The key words here are "When you stabilize situation". If we can train our disciplined ego, our internal dialogue may be more friendly and calm; thus allowing our intuition to be heard. It still comes down to our ability to redirect our negative energy away before any situation can be under control. >>"Try to remember this feeling of "no thoughts, just flow". << When your disciplined ego has achieved a high level, the feeling of "no thoughts, just flow" will be a piece of cake. >>"This is very close to what trader experiences when he is in the zone." << Interesting thing about the "zone" experience is that it comes and goes. I would be trading in the "zone" and then before I knew what happened to me, I traded out of the "zone". And if I didn't stop myself quickly, it was quite easy to give back everything I made while I was in the "zone". Thanks for the add'l point on the intuition. My opinion is that intuition is a byproduct of the dominated disciplined ego. Until then, IMHO, training our disciplined ego is our number one priority in this trading endeavor. Cheers!
