Sounds like the adage "With age comes wisdom." come to life.

I've been a registered Dem all my voting life, but have frequently voted for Repubs in local elections, depending where they sat on the issues. I'd like to think I vote according to the issues rather than simply down party lines, but it interests me that I've never even been tempted to vote Republican in a national election, probably mostly because of the choice issue.

I'd hate to have to be a single issue voter, but I think that may have been what happened in the last election.
Gore lost (if he lost) some number of votes due to outrage at "Clinton immorality."
Those same moral majority types who like to stick their noses in other people's bedrooms, vote their abortion views too.
Lulled into a sense of security that Roe V. Wade is not in danger we have let the CHOICE bonfire burn down.
I think it is a serious issue again.
Could be litmus to me. I hate that.
