GROWTH MIGHT BE SLOWING IS THE MESSAGE

Growth on the slow gears is slowing...not on the faster and innovative gears IMO. Think about how OC-48 gears would get replaced by OC-192 or beyond. I would think the buildup on the OC-48 or slower gears bring down the market.

AMCC is basically priced on fantasy earnings and sales expectations and any upset to the rosy, hypster perspective has resulted in selling. The stock is still trading well above reasonable risk/reward valuation based on sales and earnings out well more than a year. Technically the stock is short term oversold. Beyond that, the chart and indicators look sick as about any stock you can find. This is another darling hype stock that everybody seems to fall in love with regardless of valuations. Yes, it's a great company, maybe a super company, in a wonderful industry. But they make pieces of silicon patterned with circuits . . they don't have some neat new way of pressing coal into diamonds for 10c a carrot. Trade this darling but don't fall in love with it.
