George,

I don't follow too much what GATA is up to, but it does seem if all they accomplish is to inspire the gold miners to unite then maybe that will be the catalyst that starts a series of events to unfold.

In the end the mines control the flow of gold to the market and have the ultimate control as long as demand continues. I think demand will increase significantly should supply be disrupted.

M.

I can't think of anything short of an oil embargo or an outbreak of war in Mid-East or Asia that would break the CB's hold on this market.

<<But as long as the CBs are willing to lend at 1% -- a sharp and sustained gold rally is extremely improbable >>

Until the last of their control is gone.
