LOL! Jay, thanks for the help... I don't think telecomguy was making much headway though. Certainly in the 980nm pumps that NT bought - these are commodities... but in the newer 10G and 40G transcievers and amplifiers cooperative development are still neccessary. However, longer term these become commodities as well. The fallacy however is that an equipment company needs to own this capability rather than collaborate. Telecomguy believes an equipment company needs to own it. I believe it's a boat anchor. OG
