I have been looking for a "clean" way to make money off of the porn industry. Finally, I have found one. EMC is the "porn storage" play. Perhaps the company's marketing department can make use of that phrase...

>>>>One segment of the video market adopting solid-state drives is the pornography industry, says Linett. "It's the only way to handle the high credit card hits," he says.

Gus -- I can't help but being overwhelmed by the enormity of the potential for archival storage of media. It can mean that any movie, TV series, music, as well as the written word, can be instantly available. It is almost as if time could be frozen.

EMC sounds very smart to commit big time to this area. I know they had always been active, but somehow this emphasizes the magnitude.

While I was In the UK a couple of years ago, the Archbishop of Canterbury compared the internet with God, saying it's omniscient. He may be right.

Gus or thread,

From the "streaming media" post:

"One segment of the video market adopting solid-state drives is the pornography industry, says Linett. "It's the only way to handle the high credit card hits," he says."

Can anyone tell me what a "solid-state drive" is?

Appreciate the help, tech challenged,

John
