astute analysis - too bad the babies on this thread do not realize that published AH trading means nothing - the big boys and girls stop at 4:00 and have a beer, a work-out and a shower and head over to Danube, Savoy, Le Cirque 2000, Il Circo, Daniel, etc..for a fine dinner -- AH trading means nothing...IMHO

SJS , as I said to ZO, CSCO's downfall is due to different reasons
than JDSU's decline which is purely market related
and from which JDSU is recovering rapidly.
CSCO's recovery on the other hand may be delayed
because of these reasons:

*Overagressive use of their stock to buy
companies/printing their own money

*overspending for what they bought

*overfinacing of CLECs and ISPs with questionable market
viability dependent on dot.bombs

*Telco/Carriers taking over business from mom and pop
CLEC and ISPs financed by CSCO

*poor exposure by CSCO to this Telco/Carrier business
( less than 2% )

*lack of in - house R & D: they bought their R&D and paid
handsomely through the nose.

*Overpromising their ATM capablities via Stratacom purchase.
They did not deliver. Big blackout X24 hours with ATT
killed whatever little business they had with telcos.
Stratacom's 7 Bill purchase was 100% failure and
write off.

*Overpromising delivery to telco/carriers
ability of end to end
solutions; ATT was their CarrierBusiness Waterloo

Having said that, let me admit that this strategy
worked from 1990 till 1999 with cheap financing 'and
Washigton closing an eye to pooling of interests.

Finally however things caught up with them.

zbyslaw or anybody else please correct me where I am wrong
