Thanks for the info, Pete. So what is Athlon SFF? I'm thinking it might just be desktop Palomino. It seems too early (and too expensive) to be Morgan. If you compare processors at the same prices (3-5-01) to the Athlons, you get this: Price Athlon speed Athlon SFF speed 152 950 900 201 1.1 Ghz 950 223 1.2 Ghz 1 Ghz Assuming these are desktop CPUs (since the mobiles are listed separately), it looks like these are treated as equivalent to current Athlons of 1 or 2 speed grades higher. Holding the clock speed constant: Speed Athlon price Athlon SFF price 900 143 152 950 152 201 1000 170 223 Same idea, the SFFs are more valuable than same clocked Athlons (with 900s priced to move a little faster). So what does SFF stand for? And why do they top out at 1 Ghz? Hopefully marketing reasons and not manufacturing ones. Perhaps they're starting at lower speeds to keep from hurting Tbird prices on the upper end. Unfortunately for my theory, they're also a good bit cheaper than same clocked Mobile Athlons, which would be hard to figure if both were Palominos. Maybe the mobiles have some unique features or packaging. I guess we'll know in less than a month. Chris
