If you are representative of the conservatives in this country, well, all I can say is that it's easy to understand why 52% of the public voted the other way.

Brit Hume was wrong, period -- no shocker as he is a rightie all the way. There is no circumstance on earth where someone making $300K gets only $1,800 in tax relief. The numbers don't lie - I printed the exact brackets and revised figures for you. Itemized deuctions may reduce it to 7,500 or 8,000, but that's 5 times 1,800. And I know the new brackets to be true, because I stand to get over $20,000 in tax relief from his tax plan. Of course, I'm going to have to pay off the new federal debt he will no doubt create with this risky fiscal policy.

And none of this even accounts for the biggest tax boondoggle of all - the elimination of the estate tax, even for estates over $20 Million (which, incidentally, is all but designed to ensure that Dubya himself saves millions in taxes when his parents pass to that great country club in the sky -- no conflict of interest there . . . . LOL).
