Tim, There are many things that can wreak havoc in our society. Assuming a limited budget I don't see how we justify the particularly far-fetched scenario of North Korea launching a nuclear missile, as being worth spending $100 billion on. We are faced with some real and inevitable problems. SF and LA will be destroyed by earthquakes within 50 years. We will run out of gas. Global warming is occuring. Antibiotic resistant bacteria is spreading. If you want to spend money to provide a false sense of security, surely you can come up with something more creative than Star Wars? It is just a military contractor boondoggle, after all. Scumbria
